While Audi Oxnard values the luxurious core of Audi cars, we can't deny we also love the way they look. Call us superficial. Call us discerning. It doesn't matter. The stunning design language of Audi speaks to us, especially that underlying performance accent. And, we know we're not alone. You too might be moved by the dynamic lines of your Audi's body or excited by the low purr of its engine in your ear. That's why we're so pleased to tell you: Audi is planning to further distinguish their ranges.
It's not that we don't love what Audi is doing with their models now. But, as the luxury automaker continues to add variants to their lineup, the lines differentiating models are beginning to blur. Even Audi acknowledges this as true. Hence, they're recent announcement, claiming Four-Ringed fans can expect to see bolder differences between models, in the near future.
"We know that some people think our saloons look too alike and are well into a project to change that," says Stefan Sielaff, Design Director, Audi. "We will mainly do that with the proportions of those cars..."1
Audi has officially coined the design initiative "AQR", in which "A" represents Audi (saloons and hatchbacks); "Q" stands for Quattro (SUV models) and "R" - sports cars. According to Sielaff, each category will be made more distinctive via the addition of different grilles, headlamp shapes/configurations and body surfaces.
Stay tuned to learn more about how this lineup-changing project takes shape. Audi Oxnard is dedicated to keeping you informed. And if you haven't already seen it, be sure to swing in to explore the updated design language of our new 2012 Audi lineup. Just don't come with anyone who gets jealous easily.
