Other areas, Kelley Blue Book assesses as they determine "Total Cost of Ownership Award" winners are  expenditures related  to insuring, financing, repairing and maintaining vehicles. These factors, as well as depreciation and fuel costs, are assessed over a five-year time span.

What's more impressive? In addition to awarding the three aforementioned models for their low total ownership costs, KKB also recognizes Audi as the "2012 Total Cost of Ownership: Luxury Brand".
