How can you prepare to travel with a creature that doesn't necessarily understand the concept of travel and may be nervous to go at all? That is a fair question, but it is also something that you can handle if you intend to travel with your dogs.

Always keep a kit of items available in the vehicle with you so that you have things available for the dogs in the event that they get sick or otherwise need care. This can include extra food and water as well as simple items to clean any kind of wound that they could sustain.

Along with all of this, make sure that you keep your pet in the backseat and that the windows are secured in such a way that they cannot roll them down. A lot of animals do this by mistake and end up falling out of the windows. You do not want to allow that to happen, so take proper precautions.
